My DS hangs out about as far as yours does 66.

I had a vibration issue that occurred at higher speed 65+ in 5th gear and it would get worse the faster you drove and by 80 the vibration was very sever.

Turned out in my case to be worn slip yoke and worn tail shaft bushing.

1) If you have a new slip yoke AND tailshaft bushing have the DS balanced by a shop.

2) If you have an old Slip yoke, drive shaft (DS),and u joints abandon the drive line now fold it half and place in trash.Save yourself a lot money and regret. Go to denny's drive shaft online and get a new 3" aluminum one.

Not doing step 2 was the biggest mistake of my mustang life ever. Ive had the car for 10 years daily driven and I have made many mods to it over the years I absolutely dropped the ball on that one and it cost months of wasted time and a good chuck of money tracking that one down. I still say the biggest mistake of any t5 swap is using the old DS over again.

Good luck

-Gun

I think that he got a new DS and it was too short and wasn't balanced.

I ordered a t5 conversion kit from cj pony parts. It included the DS and does have weights tac welded on, and yea seem like its too short. So it may be a combination of both...

I must be missing something here. The OP's pic looks normal to me. musniki's pic looks WAY too close to the trans. I think, the first big speed bump is going to slam that shaft into the trans..I would first suspect the u-joint's, especially if this is happening at 35- 40 mph.

Thanks for the video monsterbilly, gonna have to check mine and compare. Your DS looked short too... Did you have to get it lengthened?
