Default Building a 64

Hello everyone
I am about to start my rebuilding of an 64 mustang I am wanting to put a 302 in it and a world class 5-speed. I already have the parts just me and my dad are having a problem with the world class 5 speed is a cable pull to release the clutch and the original mustang was a push rod and well we are trying to figure out what other people did to make it work. i do have a lot of 83 and 93 foxbody parts including the brake booster and the petal assembly. My goal is to get my car running as kinda a rat rod while i am finishing up my nursing school and taking my wife to car shows to try and get her more interested in the car scene. I am going to be replacing the floorboards because of rust but other then that just want to get the mustang up and driving.

Moderndriveline.com has pretty much anything you will need for a cable or even hydraulic clutch conversion. I recently did a T5 swap myself and I used the cable clutch conversion from them. I am happy with it although, I would reccommend going with the hydraulic clutch conversion. That setup looks a little more "strucurally sound". The tech support is phenomenal at moderndriveline and they helped me out a lot. There are a ton of other companies that make conversion kits but that's who I used. Hope this helps.

cable clutch works fine, but if you have any stop and go driving your going to want a hydraulic clutch! They are awesome , a bit more expensive. but "buy once , cry once" not every time you hit a traffic jam or stop light. Take it from some one who learned the hard way and bought both of them Also, both were bought from modern driveline. Great guys.

You should refer to your car as a '65 or, if you prefer, "an early 65". Some like to call these 64 1/2 mustangs but, they were never titled that way. I happen to have an early 65 D-code coupe.
As for James website, he has it listed above the picture of his car in the previous post.
Have fun building your car.......
