Default 66 GT Fastback Restore

Well its official, I have a 66 GT Fastback in the garage and the beginning restore date will be easy to remember! (12-12-12) This will be my first "full" restore and I am looking forward to getting some great info from the forum. To start with I know I will be replacing the floors as well as address a few issues around the support members. Can sombody point me to some frame drawings with the support detail? Many thanks from a newbe!

I believe the name is Jim Osborn? He has detailed early model mustang assembly manuals for body/electrical/chassis made from the original ford plans. I think you can get them for $15 at mustangs unlimited since you are in georgia

Just dropped my first $500 in sheet metal at MU! Floors and torque boxes for the next few weeks! I will try and get some pics up this weekend. Good call on the Osborn books!

Stop now and understand that your car has ONE floor pan, not "pans"....do it right.

Just South of Canton. Actually, this car has several hundred tiny floor pans! Hey I did not buy this awesome welder to make yard art! Just kidding-I am adding front torque boxes, some new seat risers and replacing the rear torque boxes. The gentleman I bought the car from had the middle floor sections already so adding on with the floor to firewall pieces. The rear boxes were removed in what looks to be a Freakinstien support attempt with a piece of rectangular stock.
