Default Headlights on warning device?

Yesterday the boy left his stang headlights on at school and of course drained the battery. This is the second time for this to happen. I remember seeing a website with info on how to build a buzzer device to tell you when the headlights were left on. Can't find a link to it now. Do any of you have that link so we can put one of these together?

Nah, just tell him that if he leaves the lights on, he walks home. He will learn after about the second time it happens. Don't coddle him. I raised my teenager this way, and he learned to turn the lights off. If he drives an old Mustang, he has to learn how to drive an old Mustang. I know that sounds harsh, but that is the way it is.

Gotta agree with ya. He's clever enough to leave the lights on, he's clever enough to find a way to get the car started and back home. 1st time he did it, he and his buds were able to get a jump in the school lot. I'm sure he can take care of his own probs, but still want to add the buzzer. Anyone?

Soaring...rather not coddle him at $95 a pop for that version of a switch....found the schematic I need and should only cost a few bucks to make...for those who want to join in the coddle-fest, go to this link for the schematics of a headlight warning device...enjoy!!!

There ya go Danny. As we say in Texas. "YA DONE GOOD KID."
I still hold to the fact that these old cars should be kept intact as originals, and that anyone who drives them should respect their integrity, and not change their original configuration, but that is just the purist spirit in me that is imulated.

To a certain point. A guy at school asked me today if my car was original. I told him yes and no; it appears original, but there are new reproduction parts (i.e. carpet, dash....)

I think for people who drive their cars daily(me), its pretty good to have certain convenience features added, some for safety. Headrests would probably be a good idea, as would more reliable engine components.

If youre a concourse guy who drives weekends, then more power too you. However, I'm not getting my kneck snapped or breaking down on the way to a final exam because Im trying to keep my car stock.
