Default I6 Stalling

67 with I6 automatic, I replaced the fuel pump, gave it a tune up and put more fuel in it, I rebuilt the carb. All said work was done roughly 2 years ago, I have been told it was started regularly but Im unsure. Im stationed in NC and the car is at my moms house in TN, so I'm not 100% sure that it really was. When I went to start it I noticed that it was below E so I put roughly 6 gallons in it.

I really have to pump the gas to get it started on a flat surface. Once started the the car will idle fine for its age. If I park or drive onto a incline with the Front end higher then the back end the car will idle for a minute or two then die. Once dead I have to roll to a flat surface to begin the 5 minute pump session to get it started again.

Im unsure whats going on I have searched for a fuel leak and havent found one. Any help would be nice.

probably needs a whole new carb kit...new accelerator pump kit , diaphragms, jets cleaned,...ect

If you pull the air cleaner off with the engine off and apply full throttle as the throttle advances do you see two solid jets of fuel squirt into the front two ventures? if no it almost guaranteed rebuild carb time.

Thank you ill try it in the morning. I did a carb rebuild but I might have done it wrong. Is there a rebuild that has new jets for these single barrel carbs?

most likely the jets can be cleaned with a piece of wire.

You probably rebuilt it right...sitting for 2 years will undo all your hard work.
