Default Tire size help for 66 C

i am in the process of getting ready to purchase new wheels and tires, and was wondering if I should stick with a 205/70/14 or 205/70/15 , using BF Goods white letter RAs. open to suggestions and comments are appreciated. will it help my ride with the 15s also these sizes are getting harder to come by may have to use a 16 or so for the future but really dont want to go past the 15s. thanks

I'd go 60 series on the 15's myself. I just put new tires on my 15x7 Torque Thrusts last week. 225/60/15 from 225/50/15. The 50's had a wider contact patch on the ground, but were just way too short (overall diameter). You can fit a 225 on your 66 without issue.

thanks had given the 60 series some thought but didnt know if they would fit, its funny that I had 60s on the back of my 66 when I was a kid. I look back now and realize I had no reason to add 60s to a classic convert.

My 65 has 215 60 15 Yokohama tires on 15x7 wheels. I think they fit perfectly.

I have drum brakes, will the 15 inch wheels fit on the drums with out any spacers, OK, and if not what do I need to purchase to make the fit. probably will run 205 or 215 70/15 dont like the very low profile my self. ( must be an age thing) 60 yrs

Depends on what your plans are for the car and how you will drive it. You can go with a staggered set or same size all around. I wanted staggered so I went with a 195/65/15 front and a 235/60/15 rear. You could go 225/60/15 all around if you want?

But did your wheels fit directly on your drums and studs or did you have to use the spacers they sell. I remember the spacers hears ago but never used them
