Default BBF vs SBF autox

Ok i have some questions regarding setups

ok so i want my 72 coupe to be a street rod/occasional autox/occasional drag

it is mostly going to be a street rod going from show to show freeway local driving etc

ok what i want is a motor that is going to last me a good amount of time and dependable and can take my abuse when i want to abuse it. I know much depends on how i take care of my motor but also it depends on the motor itself

ok so i plan on going with a mustang 2 suspension in the front and a 9 in LSD traction loc etc similar to whats in the new mustangs
First question whats better airbags or coilovers?

ok and also next i want to do a EFI system on my car with all the goodies. now the big issue is for my needs what is better a SBF or a BBF? i want to keep it at around 10:1 so i can run 91 when im cruising around. but for my needs what will be better? i know either way ill get ****ty MPG as long as i get around 10 on the street its fine
So question 2 BBF vs SBF?
ok and now my last question the tranny
since its gonna be a cruiser but also a track car which will be funner to drive?
manual vs auto?

Thank you!

Keep the front suspension, modify it with Maier's stuff, and go with a SBF. You'll save money and be faster.

How much you have to spend? If you got cash, stick with a 302 based block 363/372 stroker. Easily make 500+hp n/a on pump fuel, and be light weight.

Well.....a 363 is expensive. Most 363 strokers in the 500hp range as crate engines are $10k+

1. not sure, I'll bet both can be tuned very well
2. small block of course due to weight and balance
3. manual is the norm, autos can leak due to sloshing and venting
