We've been block sanding the last few days. Again we're working on getting the car into epoxy to protect it from the weather and then we can get the car running before bodywork and paint.

We laid out the hood scoop template to drill the holes for the scoop. I forgot to take a picture of the scoop on..

wondering if i could get some advice from you?

I'm having some trouble with my car idling. i would start it up and in park it idles fine but once i put it into drive it wants to die. I have a edelbrock 600 cmf carb. that is brand new. i already tried adjusting the fuel/air mixture screws and don't really seem to make any difference. not sure whats up. could the timing have anything to do with it?

any feed back would help

Wow, another NoReins build thread. Nice work so far. Glad you've got another toy until the other car is back. Is your husband going to get any of these or are you hoarding them?

 

Well, he's not letting go of this one very easily lol. Like for instance we got in a heated argument over what color the dipstick should be. If you look at the pictures of the engine you can see it's in his words "not the right color blue" and "it should match the engine." So, I did get my way for the time being but he said it would be only a matter of time till someone points it out and then I'd want to change it. So NO ONE point it out, I like it.

 

I wonder if they make these rims in 18 or 20s

 

Doubtful. That's just the standard 68-69 GT wheel. I don't think anyone reproduces them in alternate sizes. Besides that fact that 18s or 20s especially on classic mustangs tend to look tacky, unless very tastefully done. LCC has a beautiful set on his fastback, but having big rims generally doesn't look good on these cars.
