OK, prep'ing the coupe for paint and pulled the motor/trans last weekend. My original hood was damaged in a fender bender by the PO. Had a stock hood I picked up cheap some time back thinking it was good (blasted and primered), put it on the car to find out it's bowed on the passenger side. Closer examination finds either they tried to close it with a stuck hood hinge or small impact to the front corner that was repaired. Damn, guess I gotta pick up a fiberglass hood now, hate when that happens. I'm seeing the typical hood options: variations of the shelby scoop or a 3" cowl, and tear drop. I'd prefer a 2" cowl, closed at the rear. Anyone know of other options out there for a 66? Second part, fiberglass hoods are not equal. Plan on getting a steel framed glass hood. Who makes a good, well fitting hood. Several mustang shops near, including Mustangplus. Last thing I want ordering a hood to find the fiber glass fit suks.
