no rotisory...what do i do??
Its looking like my friends father is going to help me out with the frame but i have a problem ...i dont own a rotisory...is it possible to work on the frame, floorboards etc. with just jack stands? any other suggestions on how to work on it more easily.... i seen pics on here of someone who had their car on its side....is that okay....id be worried about doing that. thanks for your replies and advice.
It might be good idea to do bolted rotisory. If I had knew how much little (and big) suprises there was in my car I would do rotisory. Now we have done other ways but it would be much easier with rotisory.
im trying to save as much money as i can because i know i will need it for the rest of the restoration...also i have limited space in my back yard....and seeing as how i dont own a garage it makes it even more difficult.
It can be done on jack stands, but will be back breaking work trying to weld while on your back looking up. Wear as flame proof suit.
I saw a pic of a guy's mustang, and he had a frame bolted to the front and back with wheels on the bottom of the frame. The frame was made out of steel pipe. But, by the time you built that, you could build a rotisserie. Just get it in your head that you are going to have to build a rotisserie. That's the only safe and true way to tackle it.

i need to build one of those. im gonna start looking around for metal and make some plans. i also dont have all that much space to work on my car, so it will be as compact as possible.
The only space you need is to able to spin the car over. A one car garage or a tiny back yard will suffice. Here are some plans.
