Default Help Identifying Parts (update - picked up caliper and still seems off)

I posted a thread on the main tech forum I thought but I am new to this sit so I will post it here also.

Me and and a buddy of mine are restoring a 65 mustang coupe and need help identifying the disc brakes the previous owner installed. I have done research that says granada disc brakes are the usual change but how do I tell for sure and how do I figure out the exact year etc so I can replace pads and calipers etc?

Any info on how to decode part numers etc would be very helpful!

ok appreciate it. We just picked up this 65 mustang and have been pulling everything apart to get it starting and stopping before we tackle everything else. The previous ownder apparently replaced the brakes etc but then let it sit for years outback so its just a matter of going through it and cleaning it up.

ok no prob. you're welcome. if you use hawk pads it will stop better. if it still takes a lot of force to stop you can get a master with a 15/16" piston for $50.00.

Be careful if you are replacing the drag link and other steering components. I believe the taper in the Granada is different than the original and takes an insert. Lots of info on the board, but don't lose the adapter.
