Default iteresting date stamps

this might be of some use to some....
while taking the underside apart, and stripping it all down i came across some very interesting number stamped all over the car. On the rear frame rails in the wheelwell, there are numbers stamped into it, as well as the deck lid, fenders, etc. it reads: 122116. i was curious as to why all the numbers were the same throughout the car and did some research. the 12 indicates month of build, 21 is the day, and aparently the 16 represents the year. i compared my marty report to the numbers....spot on my car was produced on dec.21.1966, and tells me no hack jobs were done. this may be usefull to some who want to know if certain areas were replaced sometime in the cars life. its really cool too when you start to look around and find them in pretty interesting places!

So, I guess you have a "numbers" matching car, huh?
