thanks...the date code on my motor is 9A20.....which I believe translates to jan 20 1969. my marti report shows a build date of march 27 1969. this puts the motor at 9-10 weeks before the car. could that be?

it would be highly unusual but possible . . there may be a partial vin number on it somewhere.
thanks for the info...i looked on the back of the motor but really can't make anything out....too close to the firewall. I have to get my hands on one of those cameras with the flexible neck.......
supposed to be the 428.....I know the heads are correct, but its real hard to see anything on the block.....I am really guessing at the date code....I had to take an impression of it, and its still iffy
