Default 1965 Mustang Help

I just recently acquired a 1965 Mustang. It has been fully restored. The problem I'm having is the vin/data tag. It has been removed from the door. I would like to purchase a new tag, but trying to search for the codes are a bit difficult. The codes I'm having trouble with are the date code and also the axle code. I'm not sure if I'm able to determine what the date code is. What about the axle code. I found a list of the different ones, but how do I determine which one mine is?

According to Martiauto, the marti reports aren't available on 66 or older but if you supply the information, you can get a data tag.

For the Marti report.

We are the privileged licensee (contract #5012) to Ford Motor Company's entire production database for the 1967-2007 model years

I understand that my car is a 65, but since they mention older years for how long it will take, I'm assuming that the 65 is still open to be done. Also when I enter my vin number, it lets me chose replacement tags.

You can get whatever you want on those tags so if you have an automatic and want to say you had a manual transmission originally you can do that to, to increase your cars value. Thank Marti.
