Default concourse mumbo jumbo

in resonse to a recent post of the orange peel in the paint, heres one thatll crack u guys up:
We all understand that its essential to have your car clean for a car show? Sure. How about dusting the spare tire off for an MCA concourse judging? Yes sir i got 8 points deducted because of cleanleness in the trunk. Checking the point sheet in the comment section it states: Dust on the tire of the spare. Eight points for dust!! the sad part is the night before i must have spent 10 hours cleaning the engine, engine compartment, underside, interior, exterior, and oh oh no not the stupid trunk why would i!! See i can agree with most of you when you say concourse is too strict, but my god isnt that a little rediculous? Thought i would share the dark side of concourse. Although i will add, it must be nice for the people who trailer their cars to a concourse judging...give it a wash and detail and push er' on over.

You carry a spare tire? No one else has room! Fix-a-Flat and a cell phone is about as much space as I can afford

I watched a guy throw a fit at a show because he got dinged for having dust on the framerails. (The show was at a venue with dirt driveways - dust was impossible to avoid) Yeah, kind of silly.

Learn to laugh at it... or at least how to send in a challenge

Dust on the spare tire? You should have a dust cover to prevent that. I think the concours judging is just ridiculous, and getting out of hand. However, the trailer queens attend to all of of those things, and that is why they win in the concours section at these meets. I just park my car on the back lot or the side street and enjoy the show.

GTA289 - why don't you have a gallery set up yet?

I'd really like to see some pictures of your car bud.

Also post your pics on the classic section if you haven't done it already. https://mustangforums.com/m_461950/tm.htm

iclutchl,
i kinda have a problem getting all the pictures together, given all the pics i own are from a non digital camera. i will tell you that i am in the process of scaning the pics and putting a section together. the reason i cant just walk out and take pics of the car now is its crappy weather in colorado and the best pics i have are already taken ie: car shows, some in a park, etc. Again i will keep you guys posted, i talked to glen about getting new tech articles going this weekend, but need a better computer to do so, so once that happens the pics will happen... in the mean time any questions on the car, feel free to ask, sorry for the delay guys im working on it!

We don't all have fantastic up-to-date computers, so that is understandable. I have a HP pavilion a316n with 256 MB of memory and a newly implanted 160 GB hard drive. The original came with an 80 gig hard drive, but blew up on me, so I upgraded. Just do what you can with the pooter you have bro.

Did the judge carbon date the dust first? It might have been original at which point you should have received extra points for attention and ability to maintian dealer delivered dust.
