Default Hydraulic clutch issues

Hello,
I am new to the forum an was hoping to get some advice. I am a new owner of a 66 coupe. It's in pretty nice condition with a 302 and a T5 with a hydraulic clutch. When I got it both clutch cylinders were seized, and considering who I got it from, I'm not positive they would have worked in this application anyway. The car has power brakes and due to the brake booster room is very tight, necessitating a master clutch with a remote reservoir. There were not any identifying markings on the old cylinders so this leaves me kind of in the dark. I found a master and slave cylinder at Autozone that looked like it might work for only around fifty bucks, but after installing them there isn't enough throw from the slave cylinder, (only 1/2 inch). I have seen kits ranging in the several hundred dollar range, but would rather not spend that kind of money not knowing for sure if it will work. Also, due to my particular configuration, I have to use a push type slave cylinder.
My question is, has anyone else encountered this? Is there a stock set of clutch cylinders out there that will work? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I recommend using the set up i uesd. it can be purchased as a kit or you can peace it together. it will be cheaper if you peace it. it is a VERY compact set up and works great. I have been using mine for almost 7 years now. i will list the main parts here and later post some pics. I am only listing the web links for reference. shop around and you will save. I found a place local for me called Fodderills motorsports that had great pricing.
these parts are mostly for offroad buggies.

for the slave this works great. you will need to make or buy the mounting bracket. there are forum threads where you can also find all this info. this is how i learned it. fromthis site on previous links years and years ago.

For the master, use a 7/8 bore. Also i had to use a remote resevoir which i picked up from a custom motorcycle shop. and for the mounting of the cylinder, use a header flang for the inside of the firewall. the hole is the right size and the bolt pattern matches.

THis may work too. it didnt for me because of the top mounted resevior but if i put a little more time and thought into it i bet it would

Nice. I will look into this. I didn't even think about looking at buggy parts.

Thanks for the info.
