Default 67 light switch wiring

Hey guys. Trying to wire up the lighting for my aftermarket tac, water temp and oil pressure gauges. Since it's the closest I figured the easiest place to take the light wire to would be the wire that is hot when I turn the lights on at the switch. Does anyone know which wire is right wire to go to when the switch is on (headlights on, dash lights on, so forth). Thanks for any help

This may help

Note the light power comes through a multi pin connector and the lights are grounded to the dash. They are the Blue/Red wire at one end of the connector.

This is exactly what I needed thank you! I will have my gauge grounded to the motor too so that hopefully won't be a problem.

Many people forget the bonding braid that goes from the engine block to the firewall. This is not a cure all but helps the things grounded to the car body work better.
