Default Throttle Bracket Problem

I have a 1970 Coupe with a 351W. Recently I purchased the Edelbrock Performer Intake (EDL2181) which came as a kit with their Performer Series 800 CFM manual choke carb.

The 351W is a 2V (3 speed manual) that originally had a 2BBL on it. The problem I have is that the throttle cable bracket is clearly not in the right spot. Infact, the bracket that Edelbrock sent me to solve the problem is no where near what I need.

Anyone ever run into this problem?

I ran into a similar nut roll with my 351w installation into my 67 and JamesW posted up a nifty link that I used and it worked like a charm.

Found it.

The 351w had a unique bracket for the 4v cars. I think it is available in reproduction form. Try Semo or one of the other Mustang Vendors. My 428 took a different one as well.
