Default Lower arm/tire clearance question

I just put 225/60 BFG's on 15X7 Magnum 500 with 4.25 backspace 6mm offset on my stock 69 mustang. The clearance between the tire and upper arm is about 3/8" is that ok? Occasional driver no racing.

Thanks for any advice.

Is the arm smooth in that area in case there is incidental contact? If not, take a file to them and make it so.

Yes it's relatively smooth with a little lip that I might file. I just don't know how much lateral movement in normal driving you have at the top of the tire.

Thanks for your response.

Probably not much. You could put some grease on the arm and see if it rubs off. Low tire pressure could cause a bulge I guess.
