Default Help with engine ID?

Here are a couple photos of the engine in a 69 fastback that my wife and I inherited. Have looked all over the block, but for the life of me can't seem to locate any stamping or numbers of any sort. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tony

Definitely a small block ford, so 289/302/351W.

Look at the small area on the block directly behind the intake. There might be a VIN stamping on the flat spot in that area (which you'd have to wipe clean to see).

What's your car VIN? If the two stampings match, then the engine is original and would match the engine VIN code.

Casting numbers are, but the VIN stamping is in a visible area, so easier to check if it's there

Nothing behind the manifold, not much room there where the tranny bolts up, you think behind the starter motor, as maybe it's not the original engine?

Casting numbers hidden by the starter will give a rough idea of what it is.

What's your VIN? We can at least establish what's supposed to be in the car.

The VIN #: 9F02M120813. My wife was able to track down the 2nd owner, he seems to think it's not the original motor, maybe a 351W though...... thoughts?
