Default Heater hoses

Ok I’ve lost it. Putting heater hoses back on a 289 65 Mustang I’ve slept since I took them off I thank the top heater hose goes to the water pump and the lower goes to the manifold. Right or Wrong. Thanks

World of hurt! Connected backwards, the heater will COOL instead of heat the car!

By that I think he means it won't matter. One should be a bit longer right? Place that one on the water pump

Its likley because the hose is pinched behind the firewall...right behind the heater box. This is 95% possibility. If you are sure that its not pinched behind the heater box (that means you mostly removed the heater box and physically inspected each hose for kinks) Then a hose is plugged, a fitting (water pump or intake) is plugged, or heater core is plugged.
Easy peasy to hunt down.

another test would be to remove both hoses and see if you can easily blow threw then or hold one up higher and water should pour out the lower hose.

If you're sure they arent blocked then we can move on to the heater box selectors. is the flap that controls heat flow through the box opening and closing (should connect to "Temp" lever)
