Halo Headlights $50- complete plug and play!
Good Morning
I know this isn't everyones cup of tea but a couple of month ago I installed halo headlights on my 68. I recommend them to everyone, especial since they are much brighter then the stock lights I had before. The halo and switchback feature was a bonus because I've always like that look on the tail lights of my 2014.
For a couple of month I didn't connect the halo and switch back wires because I would have had to cut into my existing harness. The halo/switch need power from the front turn signal light. I searched around for an adapter or plug and play method and found nothing. So, I just came up with my own adapter harness that sits in between the factory harness and the front turn signal light and wires in the halo and switchbacks on the headlights.
Now I have DRL (daytime running lights) Halo and switchback turn signals without cutting.
I'll attach pics of the adapter installed when I get some good ones.
If you're interested in the adapter for your own install let me know. I can custom make them for you, 2 adapters for $15 members of this forum before this posting. I couldn't find anything that allows this feature online. I'm going to try and make a website to make these available but you can contact me here in the meantime.
Lastly I suggest getting a relay harness for high powered headlights. This removes the power draw from the headlight switch circuit which overheats and cuts out your headlights, and reroute the headlights power to come from the battery and protected with relays.
Check out the video bellow on my channel - I also put links to all the product I used for the install (Headlights $50.00 per pair!, relay harness $20)
