Default 67 rear spoiler

i want a rear spoiler for my fastback but they didn't make them until 69, do you know if they can be retrofitted or if there is an aftermarket part for this year? also , same with rear window louvers. are there any of those for 67 either?

As far as I know, the rear spoiler was not a separate piece, but integrated into the trunk lid. See if you can find an aftermarket trunk lid with the spoiler.

I think this is the spoiler he is looking for Soaring:

Personally I think the 69/70 spoilers and window louvers look out of place on the 67/68 bodies. Because of the rake of the roofline the spoiler functions more like an air brake than a downforce generator. Not to mention how much it breaks up the flow of the body lines. The Shelby decklid flare looks much better IMO.

Deck Lid Flare....that's the words I was trying to think of. They seem functional as opposed to offering appearance enhancement.

Here is the '67 Flare:

Soaring... that is one of the most beautiful Shelbys I've ever seen! [sm=drooldude.gif]

i wouldnt really see why anyone would like to put a spoiler and window slats on a 67-68! it just seems wrong to me, and i have seen some with the two, and it just looks riced out. The spoiler and slats were designed for the 69-73 mustangs machs, and bosses....please lets keep it that way, if Ford liked it on the 67-68 they would have designed things for them im sure

Soaring is entirely correct. The "flair" on the back of the 67/68 Shelbys is a spoiler. What came on the 69/70 Mach Is and Bosses is a "REAR WING."

i hate to dissagree and i dont want to start a fight, but in my opinion, it doesn't really matter what ford thought looked good, but what i think looks good on my car that matters.
