Bullitt is the reason I own a Mustang today. What a great chase scene. I read that they left all of the "mistakes" in the chase scene. One was when he overshot a turn and had to back up to rejoin the chase. Also, the Charger missed the gas station, but special effects hide most of that. I'll be watching.

 

The Getaway is on afterwards I think, nice cars in that one too!

 

i dont even think i ever watched the movie completely through. all i do is fast forward to the chase scene every time.

 

Got it on DVD just for the chase scene, dont care about the story really.. Love the sound those cars make, and its fun picking out other cars in the background.

 

Chase over... Time to change the channel!

 

i went out and got the dvd not to long ago.....the movie itself is boring, and i think i speak for everyone when i say the car chase is the best part....i like vanishing point better... not as boring as bullitt but thats not to say its not a great movie

 

I read in a Maxim, they had the top 15 chase scenes ever. Bullit was number one and Blue's Brothers was number two haha.

 

Havent seen Bullit yet, but I have seen Blues Brothers. "...I need to pull over..."
