69 Charging Problem
I recently purchased a 69 fastback with a 4 speed 390 original motor. I have a problem, where the charging system is not working. I have a new battery, a new starter, a new selonoid, and new regulator. I think the problem is either wiring or an open ground somewhere. I also have no headlights, although when i first brought it home, the lights worked, but now they do not. I purchased a manual so i can follow the wiring, but what i am looking for is, if anyone out there has a 69, i need to know for example, where does the top lead of the regulator go to, and then the second, third, and fourth.? This will allow me to trace my wiring. \\any ideas??
first off welcome to the site.i cant help too much with the wiring but the headlights may simply need to be replaced. as for charging, could the alternator be bad. i blew my alternator as soon a i got my 69er. Soaring, the forum dad
