I was wondering if anyone knows a good source for replacement 67, 68 trapdoors?

Thank you for the info. I have met Freddy Sleffel owner of Mustang Masters he has alot of very nice original parts,however, he demands top dollar for his parts. I will keep him in mind if I get desperate.

yeah i use him he is about 45 mins from me he is really nice and the for 65-66 stuff is cheaper, there is a 67 fastback in the junk yard near my house but it doesnt have any of the trap door stuff only has the inside trim for the louvers!

the trap door was designed to give the owner of the newly restyled 67-68 fastbacks, with the relativily smaller trunk more space to place things in. Ford made several ads showing that you could now go skiing in your fastback by simply just putting the trap door down and throwing the skis in the back.

In fastback cars door between trunk and interior. When you want to put something long insie your fastback first you lower fold down rear seat then open trap door and then your skis fit inside Mustang
