Default removing wiper assembly

I'm try to get my wipers off to remove the Cowl Cover but I don't know how to get them off. This car hasnt been kept in great condition and I've already broken a lot so I'm trying not to brake this too. lol

lol, I thought I broke it at first but what I did was take a flathead screwdriver and place the head about one inch to the side of the wiper and then using the shaft, I pulled up on the wiper assembly and it simply lifted off. It might not be supposed to do that though, lol, my parts car is a rustbucket that was not restored but rather "fixed" with bondo and god only knows what else.(ie: the millions of walnuts and leaves that has caused my friend and I to nickname the car the squirrel's home)

How are you going to remove the cowl cover? It's built onto the car isn't it?

there are only about a million spot welds that hold it on, then it pops right off. it s only like an entire days work removing that once piece

actually, i guess for 69, they simply bolted it on. There are two rubber spacers under the grill that hold it up, then about 10-7/32in bolts holding it down on the front. On the back, it is slipped under the chrome trim for the windshield. I just took off the bolts and the wipers and with a slight tug, off it went. Primed it with some rust-o-leum car primer and then Red-Oxide since that was the only primer I had at 10PM,lol. its funny to look at the black/grey top and then through the grill see a slight red/orange. I only put the two corner bolts on it to hold it down for now on my other car because it's coming right off once paint is done so I can finish wiring the wiper motor and the rest of the wiper hardware.
