is there a difference between a '71 sportsroof and a 71' mach 1? If so, then whats the difference?

ALL Mach 1's had the following options as standard equipment. Tach, front and rear swaybars , disc brakes , 9" rear end , 1 horizontal chrome bar in the front of each front seat back , honeycomb grille and tail light panel insert , three gages in the center of the dash above the shifter , heavy duty hood spring hinges to support the weight of the NACA hood , NACA hood , etc... hope this helps

basically the Mach's were made for more performance and at the same time a little more luxurious interior

Did the non-Mach1 cars come with a ram air hood?

Some came with the ram air style NACA hood IF they were ordered that way. And believe it or not... you could order ANY engine option in the plain sportsroof ( fastback) models and get functional ram air to boot ! Hope this helps, Dean
