New to forum
Greetings!
I'm new to the forum but not to classic mustangs.
My first mustang was 10 years old in 1979. I just graduated from high school and
needed a good car to go back and forth to work. A 69 Mach I. I paid $500.00 for it.
The following spring, I sold it for $750.00 and bought a 71 Mach I. Man, what a big car.
My mom couldn't wait for me to sell it. I sold it 3 months later to keep good graces at home.
What seemed like a daily driver 25 years ago has turned into an inverstment today. Well,
after growing older I have come to realize just how much I missed having one of these classics.
So, three years ago I bought what now seems to be a popular car - 65 Fastback. I keep going back and
forth with how I want to restore it. I have always liked the appearance of the Shelby GT350 but can't decide
if I want to clone mine or refurbish as an original car. Its in dry, sealed storage until the day comes when I decide what to do. I look forward to have discussions about classic mustangs and my car for that matter, with you folks in the future.

Welcome Joe
Congrats on getting a 65. I went to high school in the 70s too and could kick myself for some of the cars i went through. They were just old cars then who knew they would become so popular and expensive. My 65 coupe is what the wife calls the neverending project. Good luck on your restore whichever direction it takes you

Welcome Joe!!!,
I have owned a '65 convertable C code Mustang for 10 years. I swore I would keep it orginal untill I saw a Rangoon red '65 GT and fell in love. I wanted to buy it but it cost 35k. So I am doing a resto mod to a red GT. May not be orginal but I will like it more when it is done and it will cost me far less. I also am having fun finding original A code/GT parts. So far I have bought a 4V intake, Autolite 4100 carb, center console, larger GT sway bar and a rally pac. I got all of that for around a grand. My NOS rear valance arrived today. Fog lights and exhaust trumpets next. If you want to see a nice Shelby clone ck out Hiker's. He got it on ebay. His car made me want to do a Shelby clone next.
