Default tornado

I recently spoke to a friend of my Mom's who has a tornado in his Cougar and Impala. He swears the thing helped with gas mileage and a little horsepower. I personally think he is full of crap. I have heard the things don't work and they are a gimmick. Have any of you had any experiences with the tornado in your classics.

ya, I was checking this out for my 69er but I had the same question. It runs for like 70 bucks I think and I hear it really does improve gas and a few horses. If so, I guess I'll put it in my 00 sixer and give it a test run.

No don't waste the money, it's a load of crap. There have been dozens of articles written on it, I suggest going to www.popularscience.com and looking under the automotive section. They test all of the most popular items, and either they do nothing, or they decrease mileage. Honestly, if you could increase mileage that much for only 70 bucks, why wouldn't every car maker install them stock?

yep, screw it, I just read an article where I guy took 3 different cars, and there was no power gain at all. one car got a .1mpg increase, another gained .2, and one lost .2 so its a waste basically

There's a local guy here who has a great show about Auto Repair. The man is like a &$%^ing Rain Man when it comes to cars and he said it's BS. He said that it's pure marketing and directed at the uninformed. I have no reason to doubt this man based on my person experiences with him.

I agree...the tornado isn't as harmfully deceptive as the oil ones. If that oil were that great you'd see it in the pits on race day.
