Default How do you like your mustangs?

Would you rather buy a mustang that has already been restored that you can jump in and drive or would you rather buy a mustang that is in need of restoration?

Have to go with the project car as my son and I can't afford to buy a restored stang. Piece by piece putting it together on the pay as you go plan.

Definitely a project b/c you can build it the way you want it and their is a lot greater sense of accomplishment when you finally finish.

its much more fun getting rid of rust than spending extra money on a fully restored car.

ya, project, lol, i had this discussion with a friend in school today. She said, why spend 15-20 grand on an old car when you can buy a new one for the same price? I just looked at her and said, why get/drive a new car that is basically finished when you can drive a 40 year old car that you built yourself? lol IN this case hte new car is the restored one

I get a rush for planning out in what order I will be restoring my stang, what tools and parts I need, getting advice, and working on it myself. Definetly a project car then a restored one. Like someone said, it gives you a sense of completion.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

No, really, I couldn't have.

I'm not very good at these things.

i would like to have 1 of each .....driving the completed one would motivate me to work on the other....and I would have an idea what i would do the same and/or differently

if only i could afford 2 classics....[X(]

yes, prodject mustang...i can't afford a restored mustang...i enjoy deciding what goes in it and from practically from being dead to a strong running car...
