i bought my 68 mustang and the guy told me 289 but I ran the VIN and it said 302 4v 132... how can i tell if its a 302?

by the casting numbers located behind teh starter on the block.

i belive there is a decoder on the net some where, sorry, i dont have a link, maby someone else will . But i belive a 302 will say something like 933B for the first didgets... may be wrong though.
