Just found this forum. Have been wanting to get to my 67' for a long time. Need to do cowl repair, front disc brake conversion before putting rebuilt 289 back. Where can I get some direction on pulling front end apart?

Welcome to the classic section of MF. As mentioned, you can probbly build your entire car from all the information posted in the FAQ section above. But, don't let that stop you from asking questions and offering advice. That's what this site it for.

I sympathize with you and your project. My '65 Fastback wasn't quite as bad, but it spent about eight months in a restoration shop getting new floor pans, front inner fenders, radiator support, right rear quarter skin, left full quarter, both trunk drop offs, new front fenders, tail light panes and rear cross member. Still have the interior to finish and the GT stripes and letters to do - and I have been on this car since I bought it in '93! It takes both time and money, but oh the finished project makes it worth it. So enjoy the journey and never give up. Good luck in your quest!

First, you will need to get your car in a safe driving condition. Start with the suspension and brake upgrades, then venture to the engine, tansmission and differential areas. After that, and only after those mechanical components are up a running well should you attack the body and interior restoration. That is, unless you have a rust bucket, then the rust restoration takes precedence over everything else. As mentioned, there is a boat load of information up top in the FAQ section that will help you along, but don't be afraid to ask questions. Even if you think it is a dumb question, because there are no dumb questions on here. Here is a site to get you started. http://www.mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Archives.html

Soaring, thanks. fortunatly my car isnt a rust bucket. Howe ever i have manged to replace some bushing that were due. the rest of the suspincion looks to have been redone done by someone else. However it looks like someone has tried to Dukes of Hazzard this car. My oil pan is a little crunched and i had to cut the sway bar bolts to replace them cause the had been bent over. The under carrage is a little scaped and dented but for the most part in good condition. not really any rust. its in pritty good condition. Id just like to get it looking a little better. It needs some stuff like the horse on the grill and such. I was just curious if anyone could point me where to find stuff for it. Every one in my home town is a little greedy about there mustang stuff even if they plan to never use it.
Ill look in the FAQ's. Thanks tho.

I would suggest some modifications to keep from banging up the oil pan
