Yeah, I thought about the needle nosed pliers later after looking at it again. But, again....even after he gets it open, he still has to replace the lock mechanism. Oh well, I guess that would be cheaper than hiring a locksmith. You are a smart man Charles. I still don't think your 200 pound frame will fit through that hole.

yeah you can lift the back of the seat of and try to get in there...you might just use a long socket and extension and unbolt the actual lock from the trunk and be able to open it..then go get keys made they are like 3$ each :P

After you suck up this life lesson, the Classic Mustangs had a really nifty option that I've often entertained but never pulled the trigger on. Remote trunk opener.

kachunk.

Ive been debating, and that was my plan, to put in an electric opener, the damn keys got stolen, but i didnt have the door handles on yet, so i just pulled up on the rod, in the door, and got in, i just have all my parts in the trunk, except for the bumpers and trip, but still, my uncle has electric openers on his 49 chevy truck, and i figured i would get him to hook me up,
thanks btw

I opened mine with a screw driver, don't know what problem dcohen ran into. It was a small screwdriver, stuck it in 1/4 inch, only a 1/8" wide blade. Popped right open.
