Hey what kind of fuel filter did you have on it? was it one of those clear glass ones? I once saw a 69 camaro go up in flames because the glass broke on the filter.
just wondered. sorry your car caught on fire.

yah the fuel filter is a clear glass one, but its still intact.

wow, scary!!!!!!!

glad your alright.....hope your engine is okay too....hood and all that isnt warped or anything right? paint bubbling? etc?

well I got her running again!!

I had to replace the choke and accelerator pump on the carb. I picked up some stout steel braided fuel line and MSD 8.0mm ignition wires. Other than that it was simple a matter of changing the oil, re-timing, re-tuning and a bit of cleaning. Unfornately the engine looks like it has been in a fire, but she runs! I wish I had pics, it wasn't as bad as it looked and the hood was fine.
