How much HP do you think my setup has?
This is what I have;
Stock 1970 302 (not sure of the casting numbers but, they are also from 1970)
Edelbrock Performer 289 intake
Edelbrock Performer 500 carb
dual exhaust with Flowmasters 40
Electronic Ignition

That performer intake won't add much HP. Now, if you had the Performer RPM, with the performer cam, carb and heads, you could be putting out about 290 HP. So, you may be putting out about 230 or so. Just a guess.....
And just to be the stick in the mud and put a frown on your face....all estimates quoted so far would be the approx flywheel horsepower.....your rear wheel horse power which is the amount of power applied though the system and available at the tire contact patch to accelerate the vehicle would be about 150-170 with that combo dependant on other driveline factors
Yep, leave it to Nick to "Make Your Day."
Seriouly though, there is no way for us to make a true estimate. Take it and have it dyno'd to get a true reading of rear wheel horsepower you are displacing. As Nick pointed out, that is the only real horsepower numbers you should be interested in.

For less than that cost, you can buy DeskTopDyno software and have a tool to help you plan future mods. It'll get you close to a hp figure, just input acurate info on your pc.
