i saw a 408 stroker kit on ebay but it was for 1000+. As much as i'd love to stroke it out that much, I don't plan on using the power, i mean, its fun to scare the ricers away like cockroaches in the light but I'll just enjoy my little 351W with its some 300+HP to be

 

we need a drool smiley for the 408 strokers... Maybe I should stroke my 4bolt main 4V Cleveland and finnaly get it all the way in the Maverick... 2600lb car, 408ci 4V... yeah we need a drool smiley...

I have a 73 mustang with a 351C in it and i love that motor!! i think it is different strokes for different folks...if you like a windsor get it but if you want that mean, hi comp motor go with a C

i say keep the hi-po, and buy a later year mustang and just change out the stock and put a cleveland.

 

If it's a real K-code hipo and not just a 289 with a 4bbl and a hipo air cleaner, keep it intact. Your car is worth alot more with it installed. BTW, is your car a K-code?.
