By the way here is the lastest pic of the car. Mechanically it's almost ready. Still fighting the proportioning valve. Then I can test drive it. After that it is on to the body.

Ya i would go with the white neways, it makes the interior feel bigger, ya know. Ya sometimes those proportioning valves are brutal.

Tried the granda thing. Thought it would work well. Nope! The Brake light on the dash came on. Took the valve out and took it a part. It was nasty and corroded. Cleaned it up, no kits avalible that I could find, put it back in and it exploded brake fluid on my freshly painted engine compartment. Had to disassemble the master, the boster, the clutch linkage and the steering box to repaint everything. Ordered a new proportioning valve from master barke specialists and was goin to do that this weekend but it's not here yet. I have to replumb the lines with the new one. That's ok I got plenty to keep me busy.

I've got the headliner. It is white. That is what got me started because that didn't look very white. It looks more like partchment. I'm thinking it will look a lot white when it is in the car. I was just wondering if white was correct. I've done them white on the pony cars before but didn't know if it was correct then either.

Alrighty... Here are a couple pics I just snapped. On one of them, I tried to include at least a small part of just about every interior piece. Here's the low-down: the dashpad and its radio grille and windshield trim pieces are the dark turquoise (about the same color as the carpet). The metal door parts and all the interior fiberglass panels are the lighter turquoise. Yes - the light turquoise paint is almost exactly the same color as the aqua upholstery.

The headliner: Man did Ford get it wrong here! Mine is "correct" from my days of concours sickness! It's a baby blue (although I believe it was called "aqua.") Please don't use this "correct" color. By all means, go with white. The sun visors are one more element that are the darker turquoise.

Coolness! That is big help. The dash is definitely a darker color but not the same dark turquoise as a 67-68 dark turqousie so I will have to paint it. Calmustang has a vinyl dye they say is for pony dashes so that should do the dash for me. I've ordered two whites from two places when the first seemed too creamy. They are both the same so have to assume that the white is correct. I haven't seen anyone selling a white that is specified as pony dash white so I guess I have that right. Still seeems too creamy though. As for the color on the door. I have a can of light turquoise that I'm going to try but the color chip chart for 65 calls it medium Turq. Not sure about that one. I guess I need to get my seat kits in and try a few different ones until I get the best one.

You have been a big help and really appreciate the effort. By the way I love the mods you did to the car. Where did you get the floor console? I'm thinking about going with the sport seat kit fron TMI with the head rests. That head liner of yours is funky. Definitely going white on mine. And dark turq sunvisors, how weird is that? They did some funky stuff from the factory. Here is a pic of the last car I did in '92. Love that pony interior! Thanks again!

I made the floor and roof consoles (and the dash-top gauge pod). Couldn't find what I wanted in the aftermarket, so it was off to Home Depot! Thanks for the kind words. Just ask if you need more pics...
