Default Will I be shunned?

Well as I've posted before I'm looking into getting a classic pony, but I have a question, would I be shunned if I stuck a newer (if even possible) radio in there, or should I look for a company to refurb the orignal into a modern am/fm + cd?

As long as you don't cut up the dash, I don't think any of us opposed to it. If you have been doing some reading on here, you have several alternatives to add a modern system without cutting up the dash.

I'll come out and say it... I'm a dash cutter. Well, I'm not, but whoever had my Mustang before me was. I have a Pioneer head unit put right in the middle of the dash, and it looks good. But then again, I'm 18 and taking more of a resto mod aproach.

Wish I was 18. Then again maybe not, working for $1.85 an hour sucked!

I have a newer POS stereo in my dash from a Prior Owner. I will be replacing it with a more original looking one with updated electronics. check out these guys. i have heard good things from this forum already about them.

Yeah, there are some good things about being 18; the late nights, doing stupid stuff and getting away with it... but the pay is definitely not one of them.

I've only had to do community service once. 10 hours for expired inspection and registration.

18 is awesome, get a fake i.d. and yer set, i know i am, im from ontario and "michigan". What year is yer stang? i have a 68 coupe and i cut the dash, the replacement bezels for a 67/68 are a dime a dozen. I got a new deck in mine and i couldnt be happier. As for the restomod thing, doer up, the hotrodders approach to a mustang. And yes... communty service does suck.

67 coupe, lightly modded 289, $950 sound system= chick magnate. And cop magnate. I've been pulled over a total of 13 times, but I've talked my way out of 11 of them.
