Default Replacing piston rings

Well I also found out that I need all new front suspension and I have piston blow by. So I am thinking about just getting the whole engine rebuild instead of just get new rings. Around what price would be a fair price to get a engine rebuilt. I dont want to try and do it myself. I was also thinking about getting a crate engine but there a couple grand which isnt in my price range.

Well, Basically if your replacing the rings, your rebuilding the engine. You have to totally tear down the engine to replace the rings.

If you don't do it yourself, It will cost you about 2K for a rebuild.

You can do it yourself. It's quite fun, Take your time, buy a overhaul manual for your engine, have the block, crank, and other parts checked out my a machine shop, check all your bearing tolerences etc. Plastigage is awesome.
