Looks like one of them glass fuel filters. Can't stand them, not safe at all.. If you're going to replace it, go with a non-glass type. Just my two cents.

naw, the containment field would not be strong enough there.

It's the brake fluid metallic extractor. If you don't have that hooked up. you will get filings into your brake line, and if you rear-end an 18 wheeler you will get a 289 in your teeth.

Doesn't that control the brake lights?? It sends the fluid to the lights so they know when to cut on?
