Its all personal prefference as to which year was better. I personally like the 65 and 66s, especially the fastbacks. But that dosent mean I wouldnt take any other year if the opportunity came around. It just depends on what you like more.

Everybody has there own opinion, but mine is the 65 or 66 fastback. If you can get a fastback they will be more valuable and desireable.

i like the 69's personally, but i think the years before 72 wer the best. then it sucked in 74 when the mustang II's came out.

Heartily agree with the replies thus far - it really is a matter of what appeals to you. Pretty much anything before '74 is desirable and beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Like most of the replies, the first several years of fastbacks are awesome and because of their limited availability are escalating in value. In the coming years they may well eclipse convertibles in demand and value. 'Course I am prejdiced as a '65 Fastback GT owner...

I like the fastbacks but, they can be VERY pricy so, I went with a coupe...

I think it depends on what you plan on doing with the car...

i like 64.5-66's for restoring to original condition and 67-68 are great restomods IMO...

64-66's give off the classic feel, whereas the 67-68's look more muscular

just remember that this entire thread is nothing but opinions [8D]

I answered in the OT section, but I'd have to say the early coupes or fastbacks...don't care too much for the 'verts.[&:]
