Default scam?

Yea well, that 69 coupe in houston didnt go as i planned, so im looking for another. Well i found a 69 mach 1 and it gave me a phone number, email, and a first name. i call the number, no one answered. i emailed the guy, william his name, and a lady in milano Italy named Andrea answered. You think it is a scam? she is only asking $6200 and she says she is paying for shipping.

This is ABSOLUTELY a scam ! Run like hell ! A lot of unscrupulous people in Europe and Asia have been playing this game on ebay for a while now. Get away from it, don't send any emails and whatever you do DON'T SEND THEM ONE THIN DIME ! If they send you a link to the photos, don't open it. It allows them to backdoor your pc if you don't have an adequate firewall. Hope this helps, Dean

Red Flags big enough for Ray Charles to see......

A) The car is not even remotely viewable by anyone cause it's overseas
B) If you don't get the car, you can't exactly drive there and bust a head or two so you have NO RECOURSE....
C) Why would anyone offer to pay shipping on a car and eat up half of their profit IF THEY REALLY HAD THE CAR

I love the internet and ebay but damn if I send anyone any money without putting my hands on the actual car first.

no i told her im not interested

i thought it was a scam when she kept saying "in your next email please send your Full Name and address so i can give it to the shipping company so i can send the car if you decide to buy."

also one ive seen alot is "My son died and i cant look at his car so im selling it for whatever."
or "My husband died in Iraq and i dont like the car."

where can i report scams?

if you see this car

It is a scam, its listed on alot of ad websites. it says its located in Arkansas, and it gives phone numbers, but the numbers never match up and none of them are legit. the email address goes to a Lady in Milano Italy pseudonamed Andrea Rigatti, who is a real person but i doubt thats really her.

anyone know where i can report?

Not sure who has jurisdiction over that stuff....especially since it's outside the US.
