Default bolt from hell

im taking apart my engine bay to detail it spiff it up and a few up grades at the same time all is going smooth until i ran into this one bolt. Its one of hte bolts that holds the power steering pump to its bracket, not only is it in a spot that can only be touched by a wrench its insanely tight im talking hurcules put that bolt on ive tried everything that i know of started with WD40 nothing then moved on to liquid wrench + and extension on the wrench and i just start to screw up the bolt ne ideas or if there some trick to the bolt that im unaware of its a 66 coupe 289 if that helps

Get a bottle torch and heat the bolt/nut up. Then pour some penetating oil on it and let it sit for a few hours. That is supposed to suck the oil in and around the threads so that it will turn loose and come out.

well look at it this way, when you get it out you can through it as far as you can and be like "h*&@ yea, who's your daddy now?"

They make 6 point boxed end wrenches that should help a lot.
After following Soaring's advice, when you put pressure on the bolt, have someone else tap the bolt head with a hammer. The shock may break the corrosion that is holding it in place. Go slow so that you do not gall the threads when taking it out.

OK, that's the funniest thing I've read today. I'm tearing the front suspension off my 66 Convertible GT piece by piece to sandblast off the rust and crud, then prime and repaint before reassembling it and I had the driver's upper ball joint stick on me. I beat on it forever with a dead blow hammer with no luck, WD-40, no help. I found a small metal hammer and beat on it so hard I expected to hit and crush my fingers (thank God for good aim). Then I dragged my butt out to the garage for the 20 oz metal (You'll come loose or I'll bust you in half) mini-sledge. Two blows and she was loose as a goose. Just goes to show, the right tool for the right job!

ROFLMAO, i nicknamed one of the head bolts on my engine the bolt from hell, i took a normal propane torch to it for like 15 minutes and then liquid wrenched, then put the socket on it and hit it with a 5lb sledge, then heated it like hell, and tapped it some more, then more heat and finally it came loose, but i mean i even used the damn impact and it would come off at first, probably spent two days of using the impact on it before it came out

If you can get to it better by pulling the pulley off of the pump try that. You can usually borrow the pulley puller from a lot of parts stores.
