car dies when engine get hot?
I have a problem I was curious if anyone has seen. My car has the 225HP 289 and the fuel lines are ran as out of factory. The problem is when the engine get hot (typicaly in the heat of the summer, not when the temp outside is below 80) the car acts as if it is out of gas. I have had the carbs looked at by a great carb guy here in town and it is adjusted perfect. I think the fuel line is getting to hot and it starves the carb. I can verify this by looking down the carb when this happens, and no fuel is getting to it. When it cools down it is fine. I have a new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, and filter. should I shiel the fuel line near the manifold to keep it from getting so hot, I would love to leave it looking like the day it came from the factory, but I have to do something. Any ideas?
