65 engine swap

Default 65 engine swap

im looking to put a crate engine in my 65 mustang. the engine i want has a rear sump fox style 5 qt oil pan and sending unit. anyone have any idea as to how hard it would be to change this to fit into a 65??

just unbolt the oil pan and swap the pickup tube with correct one and bolt on the correct oil pan u will probably need another timing cover also and make sure u get the correct flywheel for the application

yup, thats about all there is to it. Later engines have a different flywheel/flexplate balance and will damage older engines. So if you are pulling it out, and the donor has the same type trans your car does (auto/manual) keep the flywheel/flexplate. If it is a 5 speed engine goin in an auto car, you wil have to buy a late flexplate.. get the idea?

Yep you can pick up a new oil pan for around $45.
