Default Engine Identification

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times on here, but can anyone give me some information on identifying my engine? I need to find out if the engine is the original one, and whether it is a 289, or 302.

Unfortunately, the intake has been replaced with an Edelbrock, mated to a Holley 4 barrel. Is there a certain code on the stamp above the starter that will tell me whether it is a 289 or 302?
