Default Help Mounting 2006 wheels on 1965 model

Would like to mount a set of the new 2005/06 Mustang wheels on my 1965 model. I've heard I'll need an adapter kit to do this. Something about the bolt pattern is different. Can anyone confirm ? Has anyone changed their wheels ? Where can I get an adapter kit ? Does it messup the look of the car?

you probably will need some spacers to keep them from fitting right, im not sure about the bolt patter though

I've got 05's on my 67. I needed 1 1/4 inch spacers to make it work. I think 06 is the same. The bolt pattern is the same i'm sure. The problem you will have is the new ones use a 6 inch backspace and the old stangs us a 4 1/2. They recommend a 1 1/2 inch spacer but I got by with a 1 1/4. It is really freaking close to the upper A arm though.

Which extended bolt package did you get with the spacers?

I got a dumb question. The rims i was looking at had a backspacing of 3.75 Would these fit without modification.

As far as back spacing they should fit. It would depend how far they stick out.

6" inch back space with 1 1/4 spacers is what I'm running.

Soaring, extended bolt package? The stock studs would not allow the lugs to grab the entire stud with the spacer on. It was really close and might have worked but in the interest of safety I changed to a longer stud. Don't want them thar wheels a comin' off!
