Default Strut Rods?

While disassembling my 67's front suspension components to install the new grab-a-trak kit, I noticed my strut rods are different shapes and lengths. The driver's side is completely straight and bolts to the lower control arm in a horizontal fashion, but the passenger's side is longer than the driver's side, is curved at the control arm end, and bolts to the lower control arm in a perpendicular fashion. Is this stock, or is one from maybe a different year that found its way onto the car?

I don't know if the 67 is the same as 65, but here are some pics of my 65. I was too lazy to jack up the front end, so maybe these pics won't be much help. The first two are the passenger side, and the third one is the driver's side.

Do you have any pictures? I had 67 strut rods on my 66 and found out that the 66 and 67 strut rods are different. Read through this thread I started awhile ago at Stangnet. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=571222.

Edit:Oh and the 67 style strut rods I have are for sale if you or anyone needs a pair.

The one that is curved on the end is a 68 strut rod.

AAHHH. Thanks guys - now the dilemma - since I have one of each, which one do I stick with? Should I get another 68 strut rod? Or should I get another 67 strut rod? The car is a 67 that will never be concourse or stock, so I'm not worried about originality - just want better performance. I'm inclined to believe that the Ford engineers changed the style in 68 for better handling, but who really knows? Any thoughts or opinions?

I don't think changing one to match the other is going to make any performance or handling difference at all. If you want to change one just so they match I would go with that ever one you can get cheaper.
