A 351 will basically slide right in. Do a search for 351 crate engines.

No, a 429 will fit with some modifications such as motor frame supports and an engine installation kit.

67 was the first year of FE blocks in the mustang. That would be your 390, 427 and 428. Those motors will go in without modifying anything on the car. If you know anyone that's into old T-birds or early 60's trucks they should be able to help you out. There is still quite a few of the FE's around.

Yeah, although I would dearly love to have a Boss 429 to put into a new project car, I couldn't afford it. Man, wouldn't it be great to own one?

My favorite Ford engine I think is the Boss 9, then the 390, then the Boss 351, then the 351W.lol, in a few years when my bank account replenishes itself i might take up another project with an FE for a 68. Or if I'm lucky I'll get me a 67 with a 390.

I have a 1965 6 cylinder mustang that I want to convert to a 302 engine. I need to know what transmission will fit. Rear ends too. I would like to know if there is a five speed that works.
